About George

My background is in art. And, I apply that art to accentuate the beauty of your face. I started my artistic career in high school, although my mom thinks the “early period” of crayon drawings on the wall were a dead give-away. I was president of the art club my senior year and worked in a custom frame shop and art supply store where art instructors taught private classes. My first painting was a fairly typical first time art student landscape, but I began to see my abilities differently when I turned to portraiture.

In college I tried majoring in premed, but that turned out to be a bit of a scholastic disaster. And I immediately realized I should be in the art building not the science building. I graduated with the intention of going into art therapy. However, I decided to delay entry into graduate school until I’d had a couple years of life experience. I had studied some advertising and knew I could draw so I decided to try Commercial Art in the meantime.

The ensuing 2 1/2 years in the advertising business led me the conclusion that I was not employee material, and so began my career as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. After 22 years, having never gone to graduate school and permanently self-employed, I got tired of dealing with clients and turned to massage therapy and acupuncture after becoming heavily involved in paddling, cycling, triathlon, and marathons.

I did, however, retain a single long-time graphic design client. Dr. Linda Dixon, a Hawaii anesthesiologist, had found her permanent makeup experience to be quite painful since there really were no effective topical anesthetics specifically for cosmetic tattooing. Using her incredible knowledge of anesthesia, and business she developed a line of topical anesthetics and pigments that are now the leading products in the industry. As her graphic designer, I created and produced newsletters, ads, brochures, and videos designed to educate permanent makeup technicians. As a result I was able to see each procedure, frame by frame, for several years before I ever picked up a socmetic tattooing hand tool.

With Flawless Permanent Makeup I am able to combine all my experience to create a work of art on every client. I specialize in a very natural look, both in shape and color, and combine my aesthetic sense with an artistic hand to create flawless permanent makeup.

So if you’re looking at cosmetic tattooing for the first time, or need a touch up on existing work, I hope you’ll give me a call...386-6763...I look forward to meeting you!
